Rules

Every sport has its own specific rules, which we must respect if we want to practice them. Hockey players don't wear skiwear, similarly, football players don't wear bathing suits. Golfers are also expected to conform to a dress code and follow the rules of golf.

My Uncle Joe, who was really more a spectator than a sportsman, used to say that tennis skirts were preferable to golf skirts because they allowed him to better appreciate the female tennis players in action.

Le Cerf naturally expects its guests to respect standard rules of golf.

Sleeveless shirts are permitted if they have a collar, as are polo shirts with sleeves, either with or without a collar. Both Bermuda shorts and trousers are allowed. However, jogging outfits and shorts are not permitted. Polo shirts (with collar) are allowed; they must be worn tucked in. T-shirts are not permitted.
 
Who’s responsible for maintaining the grounds

Administration is in charge of maintaining the golf course: tending the greens, trees, and fairways, and ensuring that the Cerf remains the most beautiful public golf course in the province.

Please note... We need your cooperation to make this a reality. Respecting instructions on the use of golf carts, repairing divots, and respecting signs around the greens and elsewhere on the course is essential to maintaining our magnificent golf course. By respecting the rules, you're helping to protect and improve your environment.

Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. Soft or ceramic spikes are mandatory.
Please note that in spite of the weather conditions we've endured since the start of the season, rowboats, rubbers,... ankle or thigh-length boots are strictly prohibited.
